This annual review focuses on the many barriers to integration that confront asylum seekers and refugees at different stages of the asylum process, as well as celebrating the courage and resourcefulness they show in overcoming these obstacles. The review also highlights some of the ways that Refugee Action works to support them.

In his homeland of Cameroon, Alain was a very powerful man. Now, as an asylum seeker, he is a member of one of the most marginalised and vilified groups in UK society.
The young people Darren works with have experienced a range of problems and some direct their anger at asylum seekers. He worked in partnership with Refugee Action to raise awareness about refugee issues amongst the young people.
