The Women’s Development Project started in July 2005 and is based in Leicester and Nottingham.
This three-year project works in partnership with other service providers, refugee groups and voluntary organisations in these cities to improve access to services for female asylum seekers and refugees. We particularly give support on education, healthcare and maternity provision.

We run a mentoring scheme offering help and friendship to vulnerable refugees in in partnership with Timebank. This project is co-ordinated in Leicester by Refugee Action and offers refugees the chance to spend five hours a month with a mentor from the local community.
