Speakers for Refugee Awareness Project

Working as part of the Refugee Awareness Project, speakers will promote understanding between refugees and host communities by giving interactive talks about asylum issues to community groups in the local region. Volunteer speakers will receive a full induction and training programme and be supported by a project worker and communications officer. Applications from asylum seekers, refugees and local residents from non-refugee backgrounds are welcomed.

Project assistants for Refugee Awareness Project

Volunteers will contribute to the smooth running and development of the Refugee Awareness Project by giving behind-the-scenes assistance in areas such as research, promotion or administration. Duties will include media monitoring, promoting the project to local groups and helping us to keep resource packs up-to-date through research.
