Nottingham > advice & services

In Nottingham, we provide independent, high quality and impartial advice to refugee and asylum seeking families living in the counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire, through our One Stop Shop advice service, which has been awarded the Legal Services Commission Quality Mark.

This includes advice and information on Asylum Support (formerly known as NASS) and assistance with applying for support and other services such as community care needs and social services issues, accommodation, education and health issues, racial harassment and domestic violence. We provide both in-depth advice and signposting and referral services to individuals and agencies.

In addition to the One Stop Shop advice services, we also offer clients appointments with our Choices team who provide independent, confidential advice and information to refugees and asylum seekers on issues around voluntary return.

Our advice services are offered on an appointment and drop-in basis. We also provide telephone advice (second tier advice) which is available to clients and agencies (see table below for contact times). Interpreting facilities are provided for our clients.
