Peer Mentoring Project Toolkit

This Toolkit has been produced so that the Peer Mentoring Project at Refugee Action may share its learning with other youth and refugee agencies or services who wish to take on such a project to support young refugees.

We hope readers will gain an understanding of our work and be able to replicate parts that are suitable to them. It is not necessary to read the Toolkit from beginning to end; just dip in and out of the relevant sections. Throughout we have included templates of the forms we have designed and found most useful to deliver and monitor our work. We have also included translated versions of forms that we needed to share with young refugees. We hope that you find these templates and translations a useful resource. We have also included case studies and quotes from the young people who took part, so that you may get a more in-depth understanding of the project and the difference it made to young people’s lives.

We are happy to share this work with any groups that will find it useful. However, the toolkit should not be published without permission. Please contact Refugee Action in Liverpool with any queries.
